Erik Nielsen, LCPC
Welcome! My name is Erik Nielsen, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). I was born and raised here in Missoula and am happy to call Montana home.
I would be honored to work with you as you move through your complex and unique path towards health and wellness. Whether it be depression, anxiety, grief, substance use, identity or gender issues, trauma, work and life transitions, or if you are working towards connection with your better self, I look forward to walking with you on this journey.
I take an integrative approach to counseling, which means we will tailor our work together to suit your individual needs. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions, mindfulness practices, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and an approach that is culturally informed and empowering, I hope our time together will foster growth within yourself and your relationships.
My work is informed by a client-focused perspective in order to build on your inherent and individual strengths during the therapeutic process. I am trained to work with any age and have extensive experience working with transitional-aged youth and college-aged students. I am inspired by the power and resilience that comes from seeking help and will meet you with acceptance and empathy as we work collaboratively towards your goals.
In my free time, I can be found playing music, kayaking, rafting, skiing, hiking, trail running, walking my dog, and exploring our wild and wonderful state.
