Jen Tuttle, LCSW

I’m Jen Tuttle, a licensed clinical social worker dedicated to supporting parents through pregnancy, postpartum, and the early years of parenting. I recognize how vulnerable and overwhelming this season of life can be, and how important it is to have a place where you feel welcome, understood, and not alone. I work with parents and caregivers of all identities in individual therapy to support emotional well-being and the parent-child relationship, with a focus on building practical skills to navigate big emotions—both your own and your child’s.
Originally from rural Nebraska, I completed both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Raleigh, North Carolina. I began my clinical work in Indiana supporting children and families, and over time my work naturally shifted toward supporting parents in the early years of family life. I am grateful to now call Missoula home and to be part of this community.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in attachment and strengths-based work. I specialize in perinatal mental health, including anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, pregnancy and infant loss, identity shifts in motherhood and early parenthood, parenting stress, and early bonding or connection challenges. My training includes perinatal mental health, perinatal loss, and Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator training, which inform my attachment-focused work with parents and caregivers. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy, all through a relational, attachment-focused, and judgment-free lens.
In session, I aim to create a space that feels steady, human, and free of judgment. Therapy often involves slowing things down, making sense of what feels overwhelming, and focusing on what is most pressing in your day-to-day life. Many parents I work with carry quiet expectations about how they “should” be feeling or managing, while also navigating major shifts in identity, relationships, and sleep-deprived daily reality. Together, we work to reduce that pressure, build practical coping tools, and strengthen your connection with yourself and your child in ways that feel realistic and sustainable.
My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you can feel more grounded in yourself as a parent, more connected in your relationships, and more confident in your ability to move through this season of life.
